82-081 for a 1.5 inch thick door

A quick learner from El Segundo, CA says:
I have a Milgard sliding glass door that was installed in 1996. The 82-081 appears to be a viable replacement door handle for my door, except that the description says that it includes fasteners for doors up to 1 and 3/8 inch thick. My door is 1.5 inches thick. Will this work with the screws included? Will it work with my old screws?

Thanks.

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hello, Bob. The 82-081 screws will probably not work for you. You will need to either reuse your old screws or get new ones at a local hardware store.

There's also the matter of the key tail. These are usually made long, with the intent being that you cut them down to size, so you should be okay. However I don't want to make any promises. There is always a chance it will come up short. If that happens, you can use our 82-310 key cylinder as a replacement. This tail is extra long, meant for a wide variety of door thicknesses.
