82-086 Not Lining Up

Hello,
I purchased 82-086, and the Latch Lever is not engaging with the Mortise Lock. The key barrel is not lining up,and needs to go in the upper oval hole. Also, the installer said the orientation of the interior Handle wouldn't work as it was off, and the Key Barrell was upside down, and would have to use the old interior Handle with new Exterior Handle.

Hello there. It's a bit tough to make out in your photos, but I believe the key lock and thumb lever have to be perfectly centered between the mounting holes, rather than offset. In that case the 82-030A would be a better fit. Take a look and see what you think.
