82-226 Turning Lever Adjustment

Quick Learner from Roanoke Rapids, NC
RE the 82-226. Can the turning lever be adjusted so that it is vertical when locked and at 3 o clock when unlocked.

Hi- thanks for reaching out!

I'm sorry, but I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to describe. The locking hook can be adjusted in or out so it can line up with the keeper. As for the turning lever key "slot" it is at a 45 degree angle. If you can send us some photos of your lock set you have now for us to take a look at.

The picture with the lever at 4 o'clock is when the door is locked. The picture with the lever at 1 o'clock is when the door is unlocked. My 4 other sliding glass doors all have the locked position at 6 o'clock and the unlocked position at 3 o'clock. I would like the replacement to match the others.

Ah, I see what you mean. I'm afraid we don't have a mortise lock that can be adjusted like you describe. The 82-226 is only locked when the lever is at 3 o'clock and unlocked at 6 o'clock. Would flipping the mortise lock upside down work?
