82-317 with Series 200 door

Question

Do you know if this works with a 200 series anderson sliding door perma-shield?  I have a thumb latch on the inside above the handle, but nothing on the exterior door. Do I have to screw through the exterior door to install?  Thanks!  Want to add an exterior lock because right now we just leave the back door unlocked all the time!  Thanks!  Will order soon as I know.  It's a right handed unit when looking from exterior.

You will need to drill holes through the door to install the 82-317. It does come with directions, fortunately. I recommend that you take your time; you don't want to damage the door or the glass. You might want to get a professional to do the installation if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself.
