88-013 question

Quick Learner
The handle on our sliding glass door broke. It's at least 40 years old and made by Andersen.
I've identified a part the may work to replace my Andersen interior handle PN 7147-1 but have some questions on whether it will work.
Your part 88-013 look like it may work as the holes are 5 1/2" . The picture on line looks like the holes are centered on the base plate of the handle.
Our handle has the holes offset toward the edge of the door and there is barely 1/4 " between the handle and the seal of the door. I need to know the distance between the center
of the holes on the 88-013 and the edge of the base plate.
I've included some pictures. Let me know if you think your part will work. We'll also need to order two new bolts and I'm assuming the replacement bolts will work.

Thank you! Your Andersen patio handle was made between 1973 and 1981. Looking up your handle, they suggest to use the 88-013. I measured from the hole center to the outside edge of the handle and I'm coming up with just under 5/8". That could be a problem having the 88-013 come too close to the edge of the door. You might need to drill new mounting holes, but you must be careful as you don't want to damage the glass or the door. If you're uncomfortable doing so, I recommend contacting a local professional for assistance. You could also contact Andersen directly to see what they suggest.
