9/32 x 3/16 gray pile weatherstripping

Quick Learner from Richland, WA
My windows have 9/32 x 3/16 gray pile weatherstripping. However, all the corners are mitered with no clear way to open the channels -see photo. I was able to remove the existing because it was weathered/brittle and the web cracked enough to pull it vertically out - see photo. How do i remove and replace this type of weatherstripping?

Thanks for your patience during this busy season. In cases where the weatherstripping channel is sealed in at the ends, you will need to make your own cutout for the purposes of removal. The video below will show you how we like to do it. This should walk you through the process step by step.
