Hello,

The 10-572 extends roughly 0.83" from the base when measured using calipers. We hope this information helps!

A quick learner from NH says:
What makes them ADA compliant ?

Casey from SWISCO responded:

For the 10-572 pull handle to be considered ADA compliant, it must be operable with one hand or limb without tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. This indicates that no knob handles are used, only levers. Sliding or swing door hardware does not require more than 5 pounds of force to operate.

ADA compliance also indicates that the allowable gripping space of the pull allows sufficient space for movement. Thus, when the handle is installed, there must be a 2-½" to 3" minimum projection space between the face of the glass to the inside of the pull itself to allow for a hand or limb to operate.

While the first two are accurate for the 10-572, the last requirement is not met. I will remove the ADA-compliant notice from our product page. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
