Very large aluminum AMACOR (Frost-Chek) windows in need of rebuilding. Very hard to open and close (very tight and heavy).
Each side has (2) channel balances (pictures) with broken ropes, etc.
The existing INTERIOR window balances have (2) balances with "4030" stamped on them and (2) with "4040" stamped on the others. All 4 balances measure ~41 inches long from tip to tip.
The existing EXTERIOR window balances have (2) balances with "3830" stamped on them and (2) with "3840" stamped on the others. All 4 balances measure ~39 inches long from tip to tip.
Please recommend replacements.
Also, any tips on replacement pile to seal drafts where sash meets the side frame?
Thanks very much for your help! Love your site and have ordered several times before.

Hello Eric. Depending on how the balances are attached at the top, there is a possibility you may need our custom S770-41 balance with a spring weight (41B) for (4030) sash weight 16-22 lbs as well as (41C) for (4040) for sash weight 22-27 lbs.
For the other sized balance, take a look at S770-39 with (39C) for (3840) sash weight 22-27 lbs.
Lastly, for your weatherstrip, I have made a list on the upper right hand side of this page for you to review. I think this will guide you in the right direction on identifying what you need.
