I have Acorn tilt out up and down slide on the lower portion only. I believe that I need a new balance tube and a new spring. However my spring is wound not spiral. When the top part of the tube with the tab cutout broke the spring twisted. I was able to close the window but the spring still has a kink in it. Can you help me. I have a handyman who has done repairs on this type of window before but he doesn't have these parts.

We would love to help you out. Can you please send us photos of your balance out of the window? We need the length and diameter of the tube and the color of the plastic tip.
