Added weather strip to my existing new windows

I have a Brand new house with Provia double hung windows. There is a lot of air leaking in from the middle and upper sash sides of the window. ProVia says the windows were not installed correctly. Last winter I took insulation and duct tape to seal the windows. I would like to try an extra strip of weather stripping to fix this problem. How sad this is, new house with windows that leak like crazy.

Hello there. Thanks for reaching out to us. We'd be happy to help identify your weatherstripping. Can you remove an undamaged sample and show us a clear photo of the end profile? If it's pile, we will need you to write out the pile height and base width.

Keep in mind that if the window was installed improperly, new weatherstripping may not solve your issue. Having a local professional to come out and take a look may be your best bet, ultimately.
