Adding Anderson lock to my door

Question

I have a sliding patio door (Anderson, I believe) that has interior/exterior handles, and an inside latch. I want to be able to lock/unlock this door from the outside and need some kind of lock or deadbolt. There was never any type of exterior lock on it. The door is 1 7/8" thick.

Thanks for posting. Could you show us some pictures of your existing handle and lock set? That will let us confirm what you have, especially if it's an Andersen door or not. Thanks!
