Adding External Key to Value Sliding Glass Patio Door

A quick learner from South Pasadena says:
I have a Value Sliding Glass Patio Door that is 1.5" thick door with an internal lock - and no external key mechanism. Handle is 3 & 15/16" apart. The double hook mortise lock appears the same dimensions as Product (82-238), but the lock cylinder is in a different position - centered on handle holes - offset by ~1/4". My exterior door handle has an extended cylinder, but it is off center from the lock mechanism.

How can i add an external key to this door?

It does look like you could use the 82-310 key cylinder. I see what you are saying by the off set position, though. Take a look at the complete handle set, 82-081, to see if this could be used on your door.
A professional from CA says:
The original handle and mortise have a slot and both new parts have square holes. You will have to replace both parts to be compatible.
It doesn't look like your cylinder hole lines up. Is the picture accurate? Are the screw holes lined up?
