Can you Adjust Coil Springs

I have a horizontal opening window and it has a similar system. My client says it closes to hard. Is there any way to adjust this system?

I'm afraid that coil balances cannot be adjusted. If your springs are shot, they'll need to be replaced.

It's a brand new window just that the window is a little bit difficult to open.

It's possible that the original installers chose springs that are too weak to hold up the weight of the sash. You may want to get the exact sash weight and refer to the stamps printed on the springs. The 15-087 shoe uses our Series 180 coil springs; what you want to do is divide the weight of the sash among how many springs are used to support it. For example, if your sash weight is 12 pounds and you only have one spring on each side, the springs should be stamped with "6" or "6 lbs."
