Adjust or Replace Awning Window Operator

A home owner from Lusby, MD 20657 says:
House was built in 1998. One awning window has operator arms that rise slightly when window is opened, blocking it from being closed. If the arms are pressed down slightly, window cranks closed normally. As you can see, one arm is marked "Truth." Can these arms be adjusted (and if so, how), or does it need replacement (and if so, with what part)? Thanks!

Hello,

I'd recommend replacing your operator with the 39-015. You may also want to check the hinges to make sure they are not part of the problem preventing your window from closing properly. Thank you!
