Alcoa sash springs

I have a home approximately 10 years old that needs replacement sash springs. The windows were manufactured by Alcoa. The springs are exposed as the plastic covering has disintegrated due to sun exposure. The diameter of the springs is 3/8". One of the spring lengths is 35" but the tip color doesn't match, the existing spring has a black tip but the chart only shows a green or white tip. I also need 28" blue tipped springs but only red, green and yellow are available. Am I measuring the spring correctly?

Good afternoon, and thank you for posting. Are you sure that the diameter is 3/8"? The reason I ask is that usually balances that have Black or Blue tips tend to have 9/16" diameter tubes. Can you confirm the diameter?
Could we also see a few pictures of the balance in question? That might help us determine what you need. I'd especially like to see either end.

Yes you are correct I was measuring a bare spring as the plastic tub was missing. I found a window that had one intact and it measures 9/16". Thanks for the info
