Hello,

Hope things are going well. Say, can you help me I.D. This balance? It's from an Alcoa window, tilt.
Thanks

Hi there Doug.

We appreciate your patience during this busy season. It looks like the outer tube diameter may be 3/8". Can you confirm? If it is, you'd want the Series 900 for tilt windows. You'll also want to measure only the outer tube to determine the length.

Please let us know if you have any questions!

Hello,

Thanks for the reply! The tube is 3/8 and when I measure the length, it's a little over 38". If I measure from the center of the mounting hole, it is right at 38"

I think I'll order a 38 and see how it works.

Thanks again!

Me again.... 28" not 38"... sorry.
One last question, I look at the series 900 and click on 28" but I don't see the option for the blue tip? Can ya help me on this?

Thanks
Emily

If the original measures over 28", rounding up to the 29" length may be a better option. The 28" length should still work but you may need to adjust the installation hole placement.

As for the color tip option, we recommend you weigh the window sash on a scale. There's a weight chart under the product description that you can use as a reference to determine the proper tip color.
