Alcoa window questions

Question

Good morning, I have two questions about my Alcoa windows which were installed when my home was built in 1995.

First, on several of the windows the clips that hold the window in place are broken and need replacement. See picture below. How can I get the parts.

Secondly, several of my windows do not stay open. As soon as I open them, they fall shut. Any suggestions or replacement parts here?

Is this something that a regular handyman can fix with the correct replacement parts? I have called several window companies. No one wants to fix my windows only replace them.

Thank you for posting. This tilt latch resembles our 26-243 and 26-244, but you will need to remove it from the window in order to confirm. As for the window dropping, it sounds like a problem with the window balances. That's an easy fix and doesn't require replacing the entire window! I'm just not sure what you have. It could be something like our Series 600 spiral balance. Is that a match? If not, please take a few pictures of the balances (they should be located inside the jamb tracks on either side of the sash) and we can work from there.
