Alenco 3700 Glazing Beads

A home owner from Kingman,AZ says:
I'm going to assume that I need Part# 55-174. Of the three windows two are fixed in place with no way to remove the old brittle glazing without digging it out in pieces. Am I correct? If so do I just press the new glazing in the gap?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

You definitely need to remove the old glazing before you install the new. Even if it's brittle, you don't want to install new glazing while the old one is still in there. I know it's a pain but there's no other way.
