Hi,
Please see attached photos. Do you have the plastic trim shown? It fits inside a channel of the metal frame and it's for holding the screen (installed outside the broken fin) in place.

The problem with these old vinyl screen retainers is that so many were made over the years by companies that came and went on a whim, so finding exact designs is often impossible. I suggest you instead consider something like our 70-176 Slip-On Clip as a replacement. Look it over and see if you think this might work for you.
