I have alenco windows and I need to replace the 3/16 by 3/16 wool pile stripping but I can't seem to figure out how to get the old out and put in the new - they are vinyl by the way. I would like to avoid breaking the vinyl/plastic

Looks like the edges are sealed in. Typically, you can just slide wool pile out, but in this case you'll have to get creative. I recommend cutting the old pile and pulling it out in strips. To install the new pile, you'd have to gently work it in with a putty knife. Do you think that can work for you?

Maybe. I thought of that but I don't think that will be so easy. But if that is the best way I'll give it a shot. Stupid windows 😠

I know, windows designed like this can be a pain. This method isn't so bad but it does take a lot of patience. Let me know how it turns out!
