Aligning sliding closet door top and bottom tracks

Home Owner from Castro Valley, CA
I recently purchased sliding door track 23-240 (48") from you. The entire track width is good, but it is considerably narrower than the original track. I do not know how to align this with the upper track to be sure doors will hang correctly - vertically level. The upper mounting is a total of 3-1/2" wide with 2 equal openings for the doors to hang from. Do you have a recommendation for the distance to mount the floor track to be sure it's aligned? A guide?

My suggestion would be to center the track front to back with the door. If you could get a plumb bob to help center the doors with the track, that would also help. Or, if you have a fishing pyramid weight and string, that could work, too.
