Alpine window locks
This is a peculiar lock style, but we may be able to offer a replacement. Can you tell me the distance between the two screw holes, center-to-center? Can you also tell me their backset? That would be the distance between the center of one of the holes and the glass-facing edge of the lock housing. Your housing looks round, so this may be a tricky measurement to get, but please try your best.
I don't see where this fella offered up his sizes, but I think I have the same windows that I'm trying to service.
enclosed are the pictures of our alpine 6-0 5-0 sliding window latch.
hole spacing is 2.250 inches and about a half inch offset to edge of window latch
any replacement info is appreciated
We never did get dimensions for this lock, but your added information is a huge help. Now, we don't sell anything exactly like this, but I'm thinking that our 90-313 may be worth considering.
It has the same hole spacing at 90-313 and the same kind of offset (9/16" from the glass-facing edge). The body itself is different but that doesn't matter all that much. What's more important is the sweep itself; the one on the 90-313 is more of a hook, but I don't think that will end up mattering too much, either. I see no reason why it wouldn't engage with your existing keeper the same way.
I can't guarantee it, since they're so different, but I feel pretty optimistic that the 90-313 is a good bet. If you wanted peace of mind, you can see our return policy here.
There are many locks that function that way, so it's not out of the ordinary. The 90-313 should be fully compatible with that type of slot.
