The38-036 casement window lock looks very close to the locks that i currently have. I too have the same Pat# 4,674,777 on the body of the lock. I would like to the distance from the locking arm to the point where the screw hole is. On my part the distance is 3/4 inch This measurement is taken with the handle in the down or closed position.

Mike, I need to know the measurement from the screw hole to the surface of the arm that will contact the bracket that would be mounted on the window. With the handle in the locked position, please measure from the screw hole to the face of the arm closest to the arm with the hole in it.

38-036 is a perfect replacement, I think they are better than the locks that came with the windows.

I recently purchased a house with several casement windows with the same single point locking mechanism as the person from Delhi NY with the PAT 4674777 written on them...
We went to install blinds and they were in the way ...Is there any lower profile lock or latch I can use??
Cheers

Sorry, but we don't have a low-profile version of the 38-036 Casement Lock.

Thank you for posting. I've placed you into an existing thread concerning this lock. As you can see above, we recommend our 38-036. What do you think? Could you use that as a replacement?

Yes and I have ordered this one in the past but it seems that it does not get screwed in and uses some kind of rivets, is that right and if so how to I secure it if it doesnt take screws?

Actually, our 38-036 is installed with screws. Where are you running into issues?
