Alternative choice to 15-009?

A landlord from Pataskala, Ohio says:

Is there another shoe I can use for this type of window. I use these on a rental I have but the plastic shoe breaks often and needs to be replaced all the time to keep the windows working. How about a metal type that does not break?

Unfortunately, there is no alternative for the 15-009. This window isn't made anymore and there are not many calls for this part, so the manufacturer doesn't see any reason to change this shoe. I am sorry we cannot be of more help.
