AluminArt ChamberDoor

Attached are photo of AluminArt tag on door (3227), retainer strip (3234), inside and outside of storm door (3226 & 3232), and picture of broken retainer strips in the door holding window in place (3229).
To save on shipping costs, the strips don't need to be 6 feet in length. They could easily be cut in half.

Hi there!
I think we can help, but our solution is a little different. The problem with these long retainer strips is that every different door company changes the style that they use almost every year. This makes it next to impossible to keep up. As such, we suggest considering something like our 70-180 storm door clip and drilling a hole for a 33-020 screw. This is how storm door companies did it once upon a time, and we still find it to be an effective and simple solution.
The 70-180 would need to be secured on the face of the door with a 33-020 screw. The end leg of the clip has a 1/2" reach and should press up against the screen or glass panel in the door holding it in place. I would suggest installing four or five on each side and maybe two at the top.

Did you find a working solution ?
I have a REGAL DELUXE 2L 34x80 Sandstone storm door.
Wondering where to get replacement retainer strips for the Screen / Glass ?

I'm afraid we didn't receive confirmation from this customer on whether our recommendation worked for them or not. However, our recommendation remains the same. I apologize for any inconvenience!

I have exactly the same problem as Duluth. What I need is some photos showing just how to attach the 70-180 clips to the door. Can you help?

I'm afraid we don't have a picture or diagram for installing these clips. If you don't like this method, then you could also theoretically cut your existing retainer into equal pieces and use those pieces. You don't need the entire length, so you could play around with it and see if that would work.

Unfortunately, we don't sell replacement glass. We recommend reaching out to a glass shop in your area for assistance. Apologies for any inconvenience.
