Aluminum S/H Window

Contractor from North Salt Lake, Utah
This is from an aluminum window. The metal piece goes into the plastic guide and then there is a balance spring has two wires that connects to the plastic guide. When you open the window the metal piece turns inside the plastic guide. It was so hard to turn that it bent the metal piece.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Your balance parts here look a little old fashioned, but your description of the two wires sounds familiar. Would those wires by chance look like our 15-036?

If so, my suggestions at this stage for the pivot shoe and pivot bar would be our 15-105 and 26-042, respectively. Review the specs for each part to see how well they compare to your original. They're designed to work with the same kind of balance system that uses the 15-036 hook configuration.
