I have 2 single hung non-tilting windows that do not have balances. One measures 13 1/2", the other 29 1/2", for half the height. They both measure 23" wide.
They are aluminum, marked Viking, and do have the take out clips, but nothing else. Home was built in1985.
Previously they were screw shut and I would to make them operate again.
Can you help me decide what balance and other hardware I need?

Thanks for posting. I'm afraid it's impossible to say what kind of balance you need without seeing an original. Is there an identical window elsewhere in the house that still has balances? If so, can you remove those balances and let us see them? This would be crucial in identifying a replacement. Thanks.
