Aluminum slider lock

I have a client that has aluminum slider with no proper handle and lock. The house was built in 1973. someone Jerry rigged a handle on that inside- so you can ignore that. Attached are photos.

the slider is 1-1/8" thick. the slot for lock is about 1/2" wide.

the face of the aluminum slider frame is about 2" thick.

can you identify this type of slider. What lock and interior handle will work for this? The locking latch on the frame can be changed if you have something else that will work.

Thanks

Danny

Thank you for reaching out to us, Danny. The 82-218 mortise lock comes to mind. Have a look and see if it matches up to the door's specifications.

The handle is a bit trickier though. I don't know what handle this door originally used so I can only judge based on the existing hardware and offer an educated guess. With that said, have a look at the 82-030 and the 82-086 or 82-089. The 82-030 can be used on aluminum patio doors with a thickness of 1-1/4". This handle set comes with different-length screws and turn levers but you still might need to modify it to fit the thickness of your patio door.

As for the 82-089 and 82-086, the manufacturer says it can be used on a door thickness of 1-1/8" thick. You might have to do some retrofitting to fit your door by cutting the turn lever if it is too long for your door. Have a look at the specifications and see what you think.
