Hello,

Unforutnately, we do not carry handles that attach to a 7/16" spline. We may still be able to help but we would need to see your operator removed from the window so the arms that move the sash are fully visible to compare to our inventory. Thank you.

These awning windows are made by VE Anderson. Florida, Georgia, Kentucky. The attached pictures show the mechanisms that are typical.

Thanks for getting back to us. Take a look at the 39-084 Crown Window Crank. The opposite-handed version is the 39-085. To confirm that this is the right fit for your window, carefully review the dimensions below compared to your assembly.

Yes that is it dimensionally. I suspect I should get a new bolt and do not see a bolt washer installed on mine. My bolt however is only a single groove pin for the clip and I wonder if the one you have with double groove pin will be too long or interfere with the closing mechanism. Let me know about that please. I think my screws that mount the mechanism to the frame are fine. If there are other thoughts on removal and installation let me know. I did look at the video you sent which makes it appear easy....but you know that that is.

If there is no obvious way to detach the crank arm from the window linkage you may need to carefully drill it out. If you're concerned that the 33-077 pin would be too large, we also offer the 33-070 commonly used with the 33-206 washer. Review both options to determine the best fit for your application.

Mine has a flat spring clip over the old bolt. It might make it easier to reinstall with the screw bolt and mating threaded washer. Sounds good. I am going to survey my 16 windows and let you know what I might need for sure. Thanks

Question...if I use the washer and thread in screw in lieu of the pin with clip....do I need to check the existing hole diameter to be sure that they fit using the plastic washer and screw?

The pin and washer both measure 5/16" as shown below, which are often used in link arms with 3/8" diameter installation holes.

Will your 3/8" operators work for larger casement aluminum windows. Mine are 52" x 60" (4 panels each) typically. I wonder then why my operators have 7/16" splines?

Our operators are not rated for windows that are a specific size. We base our recommendations on the style and dimensions of the original assembly. I can't say why the size of your spline differs from ours but the parts we've discussed would be our best options based on the information you've provided. If you decide to give it a try and run into any issues, our return policy can be found here
