Aluminum window won't close all the way

Question

It feels like something is obstructing it which leaves a 1" gap at the bottom.  Works all the way up just doesn't go down all the way.  Can't find anything blocking the channels.

Hi there. It sounds like the window balance is short. Did you buy new balances? If so, are they the same length?
