Alumium Awning Window Gear Box

Windows will no longer close all the way by themselfs, you have to go outside and push them the rest of the way closed. Handle just spins when windows are still 4" open.
I assumed it would be the gear box, I need 2 of these and they measure from the outside of the tab that connects to the window arms to the outside of the opposite tab. (see photo's) The windows are considered 36" wide each.
