American Craftsman Series 50 Patio Doors

Quick Learner from North Carolina
We ordered 12 sets of these doors from Home Depot in 2019 and Home Depot installed them. We ordered the coastal version with all stainless steel hardware and rollers. 4 years later, the rollers have completely rusted and crumbled because the wrong doors were installed. It's been a month and Home Depot is unable to determine which parts of the door need to be replaced. We know the rollers and handles and locks need to be replaced, but can you help me in determining what other parts of the doors should be stainless steel? Thank you!

Hello,

We'd be happy to confirm if we carry stainless steel versions of your original hardware but we would need to see photos of the originals to compare to our inventory. I would say that the rollers and external handles are the most prone to rusting in a saltwater environment but we can determine if any other parts may be problematic. If you're concerned about any other parts of the door, feel free to show us photos of those as well. In the meantime, we'll relate a few videos on this page to assist you. Thank you!
