American Craftsman Window parts.

Home Owner from Santa Fe, New Mexico
These are parts from an old American Craftsman double hung window, over 20 years. I believe it is Series 1200.  What we are looking at is, I believe, a tilt latch (shown installed), a pivot lock shoe (broken, uninstalled) in the second and third photos.  Also in the third photo are two views of something I don't know the name of, that can stop the window going all the way up.  The last two photos are of a pivot bar (uninstalled, two views). Right now the window is not disassembled so I cant show them installed inside the frame.  I have reached capacity on sending photos attached to this but I can send another message with a picture of the one that stops the window from going up, to show how it looks installed in another window.  I very much appreciate any help you can give me with these. I have a handy person who is helping me.

Thanks so much for reaching out to us. We should be able to supply most of these parts. I'll go through them one at a time.

  • Tilt latch: See our 26-393A.
  • Pivot shoe: Yours is unfortunately too damaged to identify. I need to see an undamaged version, and I need you to write down its width and thickness in your response for me to review.
  • Vent latch: they don't really make these anymore. We do still sell a similar model, our 26-122, but it's only available in black, and that will only be sold as long as our supply holds out. After that, they're gone for good.
  • Pivot bar: See our 26-400.

In all cases, make sure to review the dimensions on our site before placing an order.

Hello Tom:
Wow, this is a big help in revitalizing my old windows!  I went ahead and ordered four of the vent latches.  I will be ordering tilt latches as soon as I figure out how many I need, and a couple more of the vent latches too while you still have them.  Black is no problem.  Fortunately I remembered I have a spare window in my storage so I may be able to use that for the pivot bar and the pivot shoe but I have to wait for my handyperson to help me take it apart.  I should be able to get a good picture of the pivot shoe then and order some extra ones for spares if you have it and also extra pivot bars for future repairs as needed.  Thank you, this is a wonderful service that you provide.
