American Craftsman coil balance replacement

Hi there, I have a bathroom window that will not stay open anymore. It appears that the coil balance spring snapped on one side. I removed the old parts but I need two replacements. The only number on it is a #5. Not sure if this is a standard sized coil balance or not. Could you tell me what I would need to purchase to make it work? Do I need to just replace the internal coil spring or do you have them already encased and ready for easy installation? Thanks for your help

Hello, Robert. There's no such thing as a standard coil balance, unfortunately. Every coil balance is specifically designed and they are rarely interchangeable. Fortunately, your photos are very helpful and tell me everything you need.

See our 15-087 pivot housing to start out. This is designed to work with the Series 180 coil spring. Assuming your housing is in good condition, then the spring is probably the only thing you need to replace.
