Amesbury Truth lever awning operator size

Quick Learner from st paul
Hi, How do I measure the lever-awning operator to figure out the correct size to order? I think we have an older 39-070 type operator. Ours doesn't have the lock and the pivot point it visible. The pivot pin is worn out and therefore the window opens and closes poorly.

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. Before we get started, can you show us a photo of the window open so that the whole operator is fully visible? Do you happen to have an identical window in the house?

Thank you! The 39-070 indeed looks very similar. To determine the most accurate dimensions, you'd have to remove the assembly from the window and measure as shown below.

I'm just not sure what lock or pivot point you're referring to. Could you clarify that for us?

Mine measure 7 5/8 on the part that attaches to the window sash. And about 22" on the accordion part when the window is opened just a little bit; so as wide as I can make it. So I'm betting the dimensions are the same as the example you have.

Thanks for confirming! The 39-070 is definitely the closest option we have for your old assembly. It sounds like the specifications are a match too. You can place an order for this part right on our website at your convenience!
