I am trying to find two replacement window channel balances for the window in the attached photos, and any instructional videos you may have.

Hello,

We can't be positive with the original hardware still installed but your pivot shoe resembles the 15-228, which uses the 1/2" wide Series 160 or 3/8" wide Series 165 coil springs. Review the specifications of these parts, along with the related items shown on our product pages, to see how they compare to your parts.

We've also created a few videos on this page that show the general process to replace coil balances. Thanks for posting.

Coil balance is Part #801020, not sure about the Pivot Shoe number, but it has an "H" on it. Do you think I could put a coil balance with three coils on it?

Your photos do look like a match to the 15-228 as long as the dimensions below match up to yours. You'll also need to check your original coil spring stems to choose the corresponding strength options. You could use three coils but only two would be necessary as long as you choose the same strength options indicated on the originals.

It looks like you have identified all parts needed. The coils are 10# each. Is it possible or do you recommend using an additional 10# spring and a balance to accommodate the additional spring?

I am ready to order at your convenance.

If both coils are stamped with 10, then you would need 10-pound strength options for both coils. Keep in mind that two 10-pound coils on each side would support a 40-pound window sash. You will also need to confirm your coil width to choose between the S160 and S165

Unfortunately, we can not process orders through this thread but you are welcome to order these parts on our website once you've confirmed the correct coils or feel free to give our customer service team a call at (888) 991-1929 for assistance.
