Andersen 8" channel balance

Handy Person from Vancouver, WA
I can't find an 8" channel balance on your site. I've measured the metal part at exactly 8 inches and it is 9/16" wide. The number stamped on the side is 0710.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We'd be happy to help but we would need to see an undamaged balance removed from the window along with the attachments and stamp in order to determine your replacement options.

I've uploaded photos of an undamaged balance. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

This is perfect! Thanks for getting that for me. We can definitely supply this balance but it'll need to be a custom order due to the 8" channel length. Can you measure the balance's bottom fitting as shown below and let me know what you find? And can you tell me how many balances you're looking for? I'd be happy to draft a price quote once I have those details.

The measurement is 1 1/16". I will need a total of 8 balances. I will also be ordering other balances but one of the windows is a different design than the others and I'm still trying to determine exactly what I need.

Thanks for your help.

I'm afraid we have no bottom fitting that measures 1-1/16" deep. It's possible it may have worn down a bit over time, meaning you most likely have the Series 385 where the bottom fitting measures 1-3/32" deep. With that said, I'm going to email you an order link and price quote for (8) S385s with an 8" metal channel and 0710 stamp that you can use to place an order on our website.

If you have any questions just let me know!

I believe you are correct about the bottom fitting size. My tape measure only goes down to sixteenths of an inch but I think the fitting went slightly over 1/16". I went ahead and placed the order. Thank you for your help!
