Andersen Awning Window

Hi,
I need to replace a control arm for an Andersen Awning Window. The Operator bottom has the marking F-9400-8A. There is also a B stamped on it. The straight arm has the marking 1521105. I did a search on your web site for part number 1521105 and product code 39-099 came up. It appears to be a good match. The dimensions of 9 inches for the arm and 3 11/16 are a good match. Can you please let me know if this is the part I need?

Also, if this is the correct part, Do I need an adaptor plate? I don't think I need one but it seems that for every control arm that comes up on the web site shows people getting one of these also? I there a measurement that I can take to confirm this?

Hi Steve. I agree, the 39-099 looks right. This is typically used to replace Andersen operators made from 1999 to the present. The 39-362 Adapter plate is typically used for older versions of the mechanism. If the hole spacing, or the distance between the center of each mounting hole matches what you have, then I don't believe it will be necessary.
