Andersen Casement Operator, 9" Arm

Good morning,

I ordered (2) 39-099 Andersen operators because they had the same arm size as my original at 9", and the same housing. We did not know they would not work on a casement window.

In speaking to customer service, the closest alternate option would be the 39-331 / 39-332, but we need a 9" arm.

Is there any way you can obtain a 9" Andersen casement window operator to match my originals?

Thanks for your patience while we look into this. I'm not sure if a 9" version of these operators is available. Before we go any further, might it be possible to see a picture of the window itself? I'd also like to see one of your operator attached to the sash, if possible. That way we can send that data to Andersen and they can check their records.

Here is the operator attached to the sash. This is the side that works to open the window.

Thanks for getting back to us. We are currently looking into this for you to see if we can supply a closer match for your operator but the design does look very close to the 39-099. Have you tried to install it? Though it is not generally used for casement windows it may still work for your application is this is the assembly that Andersen used for your particular window.

It works on the left side, but not on the right side.

Thank you for your patience while we researched this matter. We've spoken to Andersen directly and have been told that they no longer make an operator in the same size or style you've requested. It won't be possible for us to supply it for you.

Instead, they recommend a special 12" version of our 39-331 and 39-332 operator along with a new type of track that will allow your window to be compatible with this size. However it's important to note that this solution will only work if your window is smaller than 27-1/2". Checking your window size should be your next step if you haven't already done so.

I know that this isn't an ideal solution, but according to Andersen themselves it is your only option. We're more than happy to bring in both the operator and track for you to purchase; the lead time for this type of order is usually about 6 weeks. Please let us know if you're interested and we'll get the ball rolling.

Please let us know if you also needed the track and we would be happy to supply that as well.

Hello again! We now have the new 39-568 track, as described above. This will be compatible with the 39-331 and 39-332 operators for windows measuring smaller than 27-1/2" long.
