I'm not sure of the exact part numbers for the replacement balances that are needed (and I won't know until I dismantle the windows but it's getting COLD now so want to wait until I have parts in hand)... but I have three older Andersen double-hung windows from the late 1980s with inoperable sash cords on one side or the other....and that have different glass sizes of approximately 28.5" wide x 24 " high; 32.5" wide x 24" high; and 32.5" wide by 28" high. Do those sizes correspond to something in your database for what balances would be involved? Or should I measure the wood sash itself? I'd want two balance for each window (6 total). thx

It's very difficult to recommend replacement balances without knowing what's stamped on the originals. The most we can do is make an educated guess, so please keep in mind that there is no guaranteed our suggestions will work.
That said, for the 28.5" x 24" sash, I recommend our 24-837. For the 32.5" x 24" sash, see our 24-939. Finally, for the 32.5 x 28" sash, see our 24-1133.
