Andersen Sash Balancer

A home owner from New Jersey says:
Balancer has the following stamped letters/numbers:

CC 4 19 73

It also has at least one screw near the middle.

House was built in 1964.

Hello! Based on your old stamp of "4 19," my recommendation is the 24-431 Andersen Sash Balance. I feel confident that this is the balance you want.

A home owner from New Jersey says:
Thanks. One other bit of information, the window panes (glass only) measure approximately 32 1/4 inches wide by 15 3/4 inches high. Does that window size jive with the 24-431 balancer?

I'm afraid I can't say for sure. There's more that goes into it if you want to figure it out that way, such as the thickness and type of glass used in the sash. You also want to measure the whole size of the sash, width" x height." It's a little involved and not always 100%.

Going by the stamp on the old balance, however, is a very reliable method in my experience. If your old stamp reads "4 19" then our 24-431 will work. It's specifically designed to replace that exact balance.
