Andersen Screen door inside handle options?

I just ordered part 83-018 to replace my broken latch. As you can see by the picture, it broke when someone on the outside didn't know the the twist lock was engaged and yanked on the handle. This seems to be a really cheap latch for an expensive patio door set up. Might there be any other options that are sturdier & more secure? Thanks!

Unfortunately, this is the only handle that Andersen makes to fit this screen door. I don't believe they make a sturdier version. I am sorry we cannot be of more help.

If the screw holes are 2 1/8" apart, this is the part I need. Are they? And should I call to order this part? Thanks, Pam
