I have anderson double hung windows with the combination units on them installed when i built our house in 1989 . the aluminum screens are not damaged but have a blochey look to them i would like to replace them with a good quiltiy fiberglass screen. should i use the fiberglass or go with the alumium screening.and should i use the .250" foam spine size . guess i have to order the spine from you because i cant find it anywhere in any stores

Hello,

I've found that fiberglass screen wire is easier to install than aluminum. If you wanted to stay with aluminum wire, I'd advise you not to use the bare silver wire but a coated option like charcoal wire. The charcoal wire will hold up very well. I have also used the 59-250 spline on Andersen window screens in the past with good results. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else.
