Andersen awning window crank, window approx install 2017

Trying to find a replacement awning operator for my window. Gear does not engage worm screw properly to move window out. Andersen does not show a replacement. Has number C-1081-101 on crank and S-1081-65A on arms.

Thanks for writing in. Hm, this operator is a little unusual and we don't have an exact replacement. Take a look at our 39-083. See if the dimensions match; if so, you may be able to use it as a replacement. You'd need a new crank handle as well--see our 39-114L.

I am adding to this tread, because I need to replace the exact part that is pictured in the original post. Do you have a part to replace this crank now?

I'm afraid we've never been able to find a good match for this operator, even after all these years. Looking back on Bob's response, I'm not at all optimistic that our 39-083 can replace it. If it could, then it would require significant adaptation of the window sill. I wouldn't try it without professional help, and even then it's not guaranteed.

Hi- I have several of the same operators that need to be replaced, including a couple with the same mechanism but shorter arms. It's been a couple years since the last post on this one- has anyone been able to identify a solution for these operators? Anyone have any luck replacing with the 39-083 or similar? Getting desperate for a solution, wiling to attempt major sill surgery if needed. Thanks!
