Andersen casement operator

Question

These are Andersen operators.  The core is missing from one and I wonder whether a core can be purchased or maybe a core removed from an operator that I could purchase whole, rather than remove the entire operator from the window.  I am including a pic of an identical operator with the core and handle relatively intact.

Hi there!

The core you're referring to is called a worm gear and it looks like yours came out with the handle. I'm afraid this cannot be repaired or replaced so you'll need a new operator. We'd be happy to help but we'd like to see a photo of your operator with the window open so that the arms that move the sash are fully visible.
