Andersen double hung top rail window balance

Question

I have Andersen double hung top rail window balance coded for E87 9#27.

Would the replacement be 24-939?

What does E87 signifies?

I agree that the 9#27 stamped on your balance would correspond to the 24-939. The E87 and other stamps on the balances are just manufacturer numbers, but the 9#27 would be used for identification. Thanks for posting!
