Based on your stamp of 7#27, I recommend our 24-737 Andersen Sash Balance.

Since you can recommend a "Balance", based on the Picture or text of what is stamped on the installed balance, there must be a code reference you use to discern which model balance to recommend.
Why don't you provide us the cross reference list, so we can determine which balance we need to order?
Since we will have to remove the window to access the balance, and then go on-line to convey this to you, it makes for a Very Cold house, waiting for a response, that could take several days, right?

We actually do! If you look at our 24-737 store page, for example, you can see a list of stamps that represent balances it can replace. Specifically, it can replace balances stamped with 725, 727, 731, and 737.

The trick is finding these numbers on the balance. A lot of the time they've got that "#" symbol, which is a dead give-away, but not always. There are many variations on how this key stamp can be printed and it's not always easy to describe. That's why showing us pictures is a reliable method; we can usually ID it at first glance. Not only that, but some balances don't even have this key stamp, which makes things a lot harder. Fortunately that's not very common!
