Andersen sash balance left vs. right (1626090

A quick learner from PENNSYLVANIA says:
I have Andersen Narroline windows circa 1995 in my house and need to replace the sash balances on several windows. I was told there is no difference between left side and right side sash balances by a dealer, but I see there are 2 different part numbers for my windows, 1626090 vs 1626092. Are the left and right side sash balances unique or can I use the same on both sides?

Hello,

No, the balances are unique. The "1626090" is our 24-L9-1327 and "1626092" is our 24-R13-927. The length of the cords are short for the top sash and long for the lower sash. For Andersen windows, the left and right are determined from the outside looking into the house.

Thanks Paul! That is the reason I checked as the "Andersen" specialist at Marvic Supply in Doylestown, PA told me they are one and the same. Glad I checked before staring the replacement process. I appreciate the tip that the side is determined from the outside looking in.
