I would like to install a keyed lock on the outside of this patio sliding door.

Take a look at our 82-316 and 82-317 keyed locks. Review our dimensions and see if this matches what you need.

Thank you for your response. I'm afraid those locks you propose might not work because the latch that moves when locking or unlocking the door is on the outside of the interior door frame (see photos). The proposed locks would come through the outside frame to the immovable hardware that the latch attaches to.

Could you suggest some sort of keyed deadbolt that might work with an Andersen sliding door like this one?

I'm afraid we don't carry the keyed deadbolt you're looking for, unfortunately. Our 82-316 and 82-317 are specifically designed to work for your door and are the only options we have. You should be able to get them to work. If there's some obstruction of the frame or part then the door may have been configured improperly.
