Andersen window screen Latch

Hello there!
Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm afraid this latch is too obscured since it's still in the frame. Can you show us a photo of it removed? From there we can determine whether we have a comparable option. In the meantime, we have related a video on this page regarding the installation and removal of screen knife latches. Take a look and let me know if this helps.

My apologies for not addressing the plastic base. Upon further research with one of our senior colleagues, we're familiar with this style of knife latch. It isn't something we presently have in our catalog but we're bringing them in for you. There is a 5-6 week lead time and it may take longer due to the holidays. We'll reach back out as soon as they're available on our website.
To remove the plastic base, we suggest you try using a small flat-blade screwdriver. The clips are at the top and bottom under the cap of the plastic base.

Thanks Emily, once I get the base off we'll know for sure, but the handle of the latch looks to be of the Large butterfly latch # 90-227 on your site.

The curve of the tab is similar to the 90-227. Although we can't be completely certain without seeing the latch removed, I consulted one of our senior experts with many years of experience with screens and knife latches like this. They believe that the knife latch we are bringing in is a more comparable option.

Hello! Thank you very much for waiting. Please see the new 70-170 Andersen knife latch pair with housing. Take a look at the specifications and see how they compare with your old latch.
